A Very Bishop Halloween

Over the Halloween weekend Ryan and I made a pilgrimage to Bishop.  We met up with our friends from Santa Cruz and immediately ridiculousness ensued. Connor and Elliot got very stylish haircuts...

and Ryan proved that contrary to popular belief, scissors can beat rock.

We spent the next day working projects with ZAP at the Buttermilks.

With ZAP in my corner, I finally finished Fly Boy Arete...

And we all worked on Bowling Pin, a problem Zack first introduced me and Gwen to back in May...

and we worked on Cave Route...

After thoroughly thrashing our bodies and fingers we camped near the Sad Boulders at a spot we found last spring.  I went to find the rock-walled-in cave that Zack and the guys had started to build last April, expecting it to have fallen down and deteriorated, but to my surprise it had been added to in the months since and essentially completed.
Here's the guys working on it last year...

and here it is now...

We spent the next day climbing with ZAP at the Happy Boulders working on Morning Dove White and other fun problems.

As afternoon wore on, and our skin and bodies couldn't take anymore, we retreated to Schat's for some well deserved sustenance.

It was a great trip with amazing friends and I can't wait to go back and do it all with ZAP again.
